Fundraising for Christian Radio Stations
by Jessica High

Looking to raise funds for Christian radio? Polaris Fundraising Worldwide has just released a new website to further expand their services in helping Christian radio stations receive major gifts.  “While many stations’ pledge drives are reporting decreased giving, Polaris ensures that financial obstacles are overcome through new major donor acquisition programs that secure generous donations, enabling radio ministries to meet and exceed their budget goals,” according to Press Release Window’s article.

Working with various development officers and broadcasters, Polaris Fundraising Worldwide (PFW) will seek to connect, equip, and train these Christian radio stations so that they can engage donors, both current and new. With this training, the goal is for donors’ gifts to be in 5,6, or 7 figures. Jerry Grimes, Polaris’ co-founder said, “Significant gifts are given by people who possess a willing heart. There will always be generous people who will amply support a radio station’s great dream backed by a sound plan.”

Through PFW’s training tools, Christian radio stations can develop a sound plan to present to donors.  On their website, they have free downloads on Major Gifts, Words That Work, Development Inventory, and a Fundraiser’s Desktool. They have a link solely for getting started with major gifts, providing information on annual campaigns, strategic planning, case development, feasibility studies, capital campaign counsel, and planned giving programs.

Jerry’s partner, Jimmy LaRose shared, “We’re humbled by the opportunities God has provided us to serve Christian Radio. It is no small honor to stand with the ministries God is using to meet the needs of people He loves so much.”
